Yes! Friends!
Finally Have a Quick Post for you!
Sorry there hasn't been a post for a few days,
things have been crazy but extremely fun.
Since I'm only half way through this NYFW Journey,
I have to make this kinda quick cause we are off to couple shows this afternoon.
But don't worry I will give you a detailed account of everything when i things slow down a little.
I thought i would post a few pictures I took from Rachel Antonoff's Incredible Spring 2011 Presentation.
I Seriously can't wait to Post all the picture i took at it and I can't wait to do some paintings from it!

Rumi & BryanBoy At Chris Benz

Morning!
I'm just getting rolling on the work for the day, but i thought i would throw a quick post up for you all. I was meaning to post this picture of my friends Rumi Neely of Fashiontoast & Bryanboy of Bryanboy.com, but i keep forgetting, so finally here it is. I really like how it turned out. The mood, their expressions and the colors of the picture all work together quiet well, i think. What do you think? Hope you like it. :)

The Profile of Natasha Belobrovik

Well, like i said a few weeks back, i'm going to start to post all the photo's i took at last Fashion Week.
This picture is of one of my Favorite girls of Andy and Debb Spring 2011 Presentation.
Her name is Natasha Belobrovik.
I really like this picture because of how the shadow is cast across her face.
It has a really calm feel to it,
which is kinda ironic cause it was taken at the peak of crazi-ness backstage.
Also, she has such an amazing profile. huh?

The Arrangements of Andy & Debb spring 2011

Happy Belated Christmas!
Sorry for lack of posts! i think my mind goes into vacation mode this time of year.
Did you all have a good holiday?
This year was one of the best Christmas' ever!
My mom surprised all of us with a gift that was the best ever!
She secretly found a company that could convert old tapes to DVD,
so she got all our home movies from when i was born up to when i was 5 years old on DVD!
You don't know how much fun it was sitting with my family watching those videos.
I really hadn't seen the videos before, it brought back so many memories...
So watch out! i think I'm going to make some short films & incorporate the old footage into them ;)


So the Photo today is from Andy & Debb Spring 2011.

This was the first full show that my brother David and I both had cameras to take pictures at.
We bought his camera a day earlier so, needless to say, we have a lot of pictures here!
There were alot of elements I loved about this show.
The color and the garment structure, but also I loved the arrangement of the models at the presentation.
I had a lot of fun walking around and playing around with the composition.
I especially love Ksenia Malanova's expression (the girl on the left hand side)

P.S. Also, I have been having trouble keeping up on Formspring, emails, etc. so what i thought could help is if my brother (who helps me alot) & i did a video question and answer. Morning Friends!
Well spent yesterday experimenting with developing tons of new techniques and new mediums...
I have to say, i don't remember the last time i've been this excited about a project.
I love learning & experimenting and so far the experiments have turned out amazing.
I'm still not ready to post them yet, but I'm dying for you to see it!
I thought i would post a picture of my good friend Carolina Engman of fashionsquad,
Who had her birthday last week.
This picture is from when my bother David, Carolina, Mattias, Team Bloglovin, and I had breakfast at my favorite breakfast place, "Le Pain Quotidien".
Have you been there? Oh my! There is this fruit tart that i always get there that is seriously the greatest thing i have ever tasted in my life! Shoot, now I'm really hungry....

Whelp, this is the last picture post from Narciso Rodriguez for today. :)
Tomorrow is my brother David's birthday, so my friends Ryan & Alice Baxley got us tickets to see one of our all time favorite musicians Joseph Arthur tonight.
I'm off right now to meet up with Dave and the Baxley's.
Should be amazing.
The last time i saw Joseph Arthur live was like 5 years ago, and it was one of the best concerts i've been too.
I will let you know how it goes ;)

My two favorite things about this picture are the look of the red coat and Hanne Gaby Odiele!
She is one of my favorite models that i haven't drawn or painted yet. (which i really need to do)
Two seasons ago, my brother and I were drinking coffee and Hanne and Frida Gustavsson were sitting next to us, and i really wanted to sketch them, but was too embarrassed. haha Oh well, maybe some day, right??

Morning!
Well I'm excited to share with you today the pictures i took at Narciso Rodriguez.
It was another interesting show for me when it came to taking pictures.
Both my brother and i were seated towards the middle in the back of the venue (which always makes it a little tough to take pictures). Once i saw it was going to be hard to get more traditional garment pictures,
i decided to change tactics and shoot a little more artsy pictures of the collection.
Since the Collection was very structured and symmetrical with very clean cut lines through the garments,
i thought it would be interesting to take the photos high grain, and let the audience create formless vignettes.
I like how the pictures turned out.
Wish i could post huge full res pictures.
They are really interesting and beautiful. They kind of look like charcoal sketches. ;)

I'm a Sucker for a Girl in a Princess Dress

Julia Saner in Oscar de la Renta.
This was one of my favorite dresses of the collection.
What can i say, I'm a sucker for girls in princess dresses.
Whenever i see a girl in one, it brings a smile to my face.
Julia Saner was a good choice for that dress.

Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011 Finale

Now for Oscar de la Renta!
I have to say, this was definitely one of the biggest highlights of our trip.
We got to the show about ten minutes before the show started.
David and i watched the show from up in the balcony,
which was a nice change of pace as far as taking pictures.
It was interesting looking down on the collection (which was beautiful).
This photo is of the finale of Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011 Collection.
It was so detailed & wonderful.

Me and The Baxley's

Friday! woot woot.
Today i had a relaxing day hanging with my friends Alice and Ryan.
i was working, and they were working on putting together their wedding invitations,
but a good half-n-hour later, we got side tracked dressing up is random costumes
and making fake mustaches out of masking tape.
We started taking pictures and then we ended up getting coffee and wandering around.
It was quiet a fun day!

Chris Benz Fall 2011 - Part 1

Hi, friends! Sorry we haven't posted anything in a while!
Still recovering from NY. Really tired and kind of sick.
Haha. Oh well.
So here are some of the photos we took at Chris Benz!
The collection was really fun. Some great hats, and really
awesome floral print shoes as well. It was really fun to
get to shoot some backstage and talk with Chris before
the show started! Also really fun getting to see Kerry from Lancôme,
Michelle Phan, Rebecca (The Clothes Horse), Jane Kelter, Julia Frakes, John Jannuzzi, BryanBoy and Carolina Engman at the show.
I have a lot more pictures to post, but i really like the vibe of the Images.
They Sort of have a Alfred Hitchcock vibe to them don't you think?

Bensoni Fall 2011 Collection - A Vignette of a Gothic Wedding

A few nights ago my brother, David & I had the honor of attending Bensoni Fall 2011 Collection.
I was really excited to go to their show because last year when i was working on the painting of my favorite collections for Full Frontal Fashion,
I decided to look through EVERY collection of NYFW (yeah! it took forever..)
But out of all the Collections that year Bensoni's was one of my favorites.
So it was one i was really looking forward to and it didn't disappoint!
The Collection was full of beautiful large floral prints accenting brightly against black and white settings. It had a Great, classy, interview with a vampire vibe. It had Romantic and youthful quality while holding onto to an old Victorian flavor. Incredibly detailed garments with great texture. I have already picked out a few i'm painting ;)

Charlotte Ronson Fall 2011 - Part 1

We loved Charlotte's collection!
We were so honored to get to go backstage and shoot before the show!
It's really cool the way the models slowly take on the feel of the show and collection.
The collection had a really unique feel where it was a mix of grunge and elegance,
with some really nice, classic cuts on some of the garments mixed with torn stockings.
It was a really fun mixture! Also, we both loved IMG Model Charlotte Free's pink hair!
It was so fun and rocking! As we sorted through the photos we noticed a really fun one of
Sky Ferreira looking longingly at her hair (see later post for that one).
It was an all around great show, and we definitely loved it when Arcade Fire came on!
Also, so fun to get to sit with Rumi(Fashiontoast), BryanBoy, Julia Frakes (Bunny BISOUS‎), Colin Sokol and Kristin Prim! We love all of them!
