The Life of a Chic Geek

So, you can only guess where I am updating from... my new Macbook! You'll have to bear with my posts though, apparently it doesn't appear the same as it does on Windows. Don't fret though, I'll still have my ground breaking posts, only without all the exciting parts to it. Don't worry, I'll figure it out eventually. Hopefully, I can still do my neat collages. I absolutely love this Macbook, but I am kind of missing my HP.

Moving on, we have our last but not least, the ever so cliched geek. However, this girl is not like any other bookworm, she's also a fashion worm. Despite her hard work in school, she makes sure she looks good doing it. Hence, her love for materialistic brands. So let's start taking a look in her backpack.

Backpack: Louis Vuitton - What's not to love about this backpack? It's incredibly chic and it will turn heads. I'm not exactly a strong believer in monogramed Louis Vuitton items (I just think they're a tad overrated) but I wouldn't mind carrying around a backpack. It's fabulous!

Flashdrive: Mimoco - Every computer geek needs a flashdrive to carry all over their files, right? But this girl won't make do with a simple, bland USB drive that probably every other person has. No, she's major and must go the extra distance. The way this flashdrive works, is that the head comes off and underneath is the USB port. I must say, this is freaking adorable and it comes in Starwars characters too. (;

Folder: Fredflare - You have to admit, these designs are to die for. I mean, it's perfect to stay organized. It even has tabs on top to keep track of what exactly you're keeping in those folders and you'll look chic doing it. They come in a pack of 12, but if you prefer to just hold onto a few folders in your *ahem* Louis Vuitton backpack, you're still on your way to geek chic.

Calculator: Target - I know it's not much. I know it doesn't completely define geek chic. But think about it: you're sitting in your calculus class and you pull out your dull, dreary calculator that you've had for quite some time now. The girl next to you reaches into her Louis Vuitton backpack and pulls out a pink calculator (also comes pink for the graphing calculator) and you just kinda stare in jealous hatred. Be that girl. Invest in a pink calculator.

Pencilcase: Kate Spade - Alright, aside from all the other materialistic items this girl has, she has to have another. So with her pink calculator out and her backpack modestly stored away, she pulls out a pencil from her Kate Spade pencil case. Hate, much?

Perfume: Marc Jacobs - Okay, this perfume has been getting a lot of publicity lately, and I never understood why. I mean, how great can a daisy smell, right? Apparently, daisies don't even produce a scent; but everything is possible in the world of Marc Jacobs. So, I went to a Bloomingdales, and I tried on a few spritz. I have to say, I love it. It's delicate, smells clean, and it stayed on all day for me. If I still didn't have a full bottle of Vera Wang left, I'd buy this in a heartbeat!

Eyeglasses: Chanel - Yet another reason to hate this girl, she wears Chanel prescription glasses! But what geek chic outfit would be complete without a pair? My thoughts exactly. You just have to go the extra distance and go all out: Chanel.

Now that I'm through with that, and I hope the spacing is fine because it's seriously a lot harder to blog on a Mac. Some of the options aren't available for Safari. Le sigh. Here's the geek chic outfit. It was a little bit harder to conjure up, but I did have some inspiration.

Jeans: 18th Amendment - This brand of jeans seriously came out of no where! They've grown quite a bit since I've heard of them via Nylon magazine. I'm not a huge fan of this wash, however, I do think that this cut goes perfectly with this geek chic outfit. I mean, it's skinny and highwaisted, but it it's flattering... and that's hard to accomplish while tailoring jeans.

Oxford Shirt: JCrew - I love this top! It looks like it fits like a glove on just about anyone. To achieve this geek chic look, tuck this into your high-waisted jeans and leave the top few buttons unbuttoned for some nice, classy cleavage. I also prefer 3/4 sleeves over full sleeves. Something about it just seems more effortlessly chic to me.

Watch: Fred Flare - Of course, we have the watch. This is the ground breaking accessory (aside from the dorky glasses) that completes the look. I love these watches by Andy Warhol. They're funky, eclectic, and somewhat useful. I mean, if you can read time with the minute hand and such.

Shoes: Converse - While you're trying to piece this outfit in your head, I bet you just can't help but to smirk seeing these high-tops on this collage. But you have to admit, they do reek that geek-esque feel. Leave the shoes careless and rugged to counter the clean cut shirt. Totally geek chic.

Necklace: Forever 21 - Because this outfit can come off a little tomboyish, you would want to add a long necklace with a girly pendent for detail. I love this necklace because it's simple and it does what it is made up to do: secretly spice up a simple outfit.

Of course you can go many different ways with this look. This ensemble just happens to be the most school appropriate. If you're going for the office environment, make sure you go for something more proper. You can easily achieve this look with a nice pair of dark, wide legged jeans and tall pointy heels. Catch my drift?

That's all for these four schoolgirls. And because I'm feeling so inspired and chic being on my new Macbook, I might even do a 5th one. You know me, I always save the best for last. Until then, I'm excited to start blogging about Fall. I'm getting incredibly bored of Summer, plus, Fall is my favorite season to dress up! What's your favorite season?

The Life of a Student Athlete

I reckon it gets a little repetitive hearing this every other post, but I've just been busy the past few days. Keeping a blog together is a lot harder than people think. School is starting soon, psh, like this Monday; so I've been making sure I have my supplies and classes in. Work still has me as their puppet after I begged them to cut my hours. A classmate recently passed away due to heat exhaustion from football practice. Lastly, a really good friend (we were in love with each other without knowing it... until now) moved to Australia to go to school. It was extremely difficult to say goodbye.

But with all that going on, I did have my therapeutic moments through online window shopping. I also managed to pick out enough health/beauty products for this post: the student athlete. This girl is not only health conscious and active, she also likes to stay chic. You know, to avoid looking burly. Let's look in her bag to reveal a few goodies.

Duffel: Adidas - This bag is ultra chic and gym appropriate. It holds your gym clothes and all the after-workout necessities. My friend has this bag and carried all her stuff in it for the Vegas trip. I thought it was very cute, I especially love the pink!

Face Wash: Olay - I've heard different views on this product. I personally love it! It's perfect to the girl who's always on the go. The textured cloth is great to exfoliate your skin and it cleans your skin completely! The idea is quite simple, it's a cloth that you lather up and wash your face with. I do no recommend this product for everyday use because it does get pricey and the idea of using a disposable washcloth every night seems like a waste. Though, it is perfect when you don't have the convenience of your own bathroom.

Pedometer: Nike/Apple - Apple and Nike teamed up to invent an ingenious method that will motivate you to walk or run more often. When you plug in the transmitter to the Nano, you can set goals based on time or distance with the comfort of your music playing at the same time! There's another gadget that you can attach to your shoes laces (or in the custom Nike shoes with the custom sole) that acts as a pedometer. It even has a voice come up to give you the status of your run at certain points throughout. When your finished, you plug in the Nano and Itunes with prompt Nike.com with your data. May old school Britney help you lose 2 pounds.

Water: Metromint - Basically, it's water... with a hint of mint. How great is that? Perfect to hydrate yourself while gaining confidence to talk to the guy working out next to you knowing your breath is fresh.

Deodorant: Secret - It's not even considered a legitimate workout if you're not wearing deodorant. This is far beyond my raves of materialistic staples of working out. The deodorant is clinically proven "to provide prescription strength wetness protection". You'll be fresh and clean with this on, even after your one mile jog.

Wallet: Poketo - My friend has this wallet, and it's soo cute. It has a very simple layout, but it comes in an array of great designs. This girl loves her wallet, not only because it's brilliantly cute but it's also thin and straightforward.

Nutrition Bar: Luna - When you're working out, you want to make sure you do have something light in your stomach for energy purposes. Not only is the perfect before and after snack, it's also made with a woman's body in mind. It has all the essential vitamins and they're good for you, great for the environment... not to mention pretty tasty.

Pullover: Old Navy - Doesn't this remind you of Jessica Simpson a la Newlyweds? I love it! The fact that the cut looks so rugged and careless, makes it seems almost like it was intricately designed for that sole purpose. I'm probably right too. I imagine this would look good outside of the gym with skinnies and heels. Yet another versatile staple!

Sweatbands: Nike - It's just a cute, useful accessory so you don't look so bland while jogging. Plus, it keeps the sweat off your face. And it matches your bag and shoes. Tres cute.

Sweats: Free City - I love this brand! I would love it even more if I can afford it! It's so chic and I love this shade of yellow. Frankly, it's sexy -- end of story. Besides, I think Nicole Richie has a similar pair. Gotta love the minds behind Ron Herman.

Cap: Nike - You know, it's hard enough to look cute while running, but it's another story to protect your eyes. I know women are claimed to be fairly good at multi-tasking, but really, how far can the theory go. Anywho, wearing a cap is a great way to keep your hair and the sun away from your face, not to mention cover up your not-so-attractive hair.

Sneakers: Alexander McQ for Puma - How great is it that one of my more respected designers, teams up a legitimate sneaker brand for the ultimate running shoe. It's chic, it's useful, it's all of the above. I also bet it's extremely comfortable and user friendly.

That all said, I think this outfit is my favorite one I've collaged so far! In this outfit, you're trying hard without looking like you're trying at all, if you catch my drift. Three girls had their chance to shine and I have one more coming up. Although, I will have to interupt my four post consistancy with an urgent back to school 'wearing today' post.

The Life of an Urban Socialite

If you haven't already, add That's Chic's Myspace, if you tried earlier and noticed that the buttons we missing.. ignore my blond moment and try again.

While I researched the fundamentals for an urban socialite, I realized it was a lot harder than I thought. Luckily, I had my Nylon magazines right next to me helping me throughout the tough decision making. In the end, I'm happy with how it turned out.

This urban socialite not only likes to go out on weekends, but she does fairly well in school. However, her dexterous taste for clothes does not stop here -- especially for the first day of school. She leaves her platform heels at home but she wants to make sure she stands out on the first day of school without overdoing herself. It's so tasteful it's borderline tacky.

Tote: Marc for Marc Jacobs - You can only imagine how this bag made Marc for Marc Jacobs a legit love, at least that's how I remember getting to know the brand. But lugging around this Miss Marc tote is not only functionable but labely stylish as well. Totes in general are perfect for school; they hold everything and they're the shape of a book. At least, I think that's what a book looks like...

MP3: Samsung - Ipods are being incredibly overrated. That said, what's an equally reliable product that also serves as purse candy? Well, I've heard great reviews about this mp3 player. It's uber sleek and comes with its own speakers. Don't worry, if you're trying to drone out of the boring lecture, there are headphones you can connect this to.

Notebooks: Urban Outfitters - Although this socialite can seem rebelish, she does take good notes when she feels like paying attention in class. However, she will not settle for an old notebook from Office Max, it would just cramp her style!

Nailpolish: OPI - I can foresee a burgundy craze going on. As for right now, I'm sick of seeing black nailpolish. Trust me, these socialites are on top of their nail game.

Hairwax: Bumble and Bumble - Well, you don't see girls in Nylon with ultra clean hair, right? No, it's because they keep hairwax in their purse to maintain the perfect I-just-got-out-of-bed texture. Just rub a little between your fingers and play with your roots. The beeswax moisturizes your hair and holds your hair in place without chunks. Loves it.

Bracelet: Patina - You never know when you need to accessorize. As for this piece; it's absolutely gorgeous! I'm very much into jewels right now, so this would be on my wrist everyday. Not only that, having a bright, multi colored (that isn't tacky) bracelet is the perfect way to spice up a white shirt and jeans.

Wallet: Loop NYC - I personally prefer horizontal wallets, I think they're much more chic and they hold so much more than a regular flap wallet. I love this particular wallet, the colors on will just bring a smile to my face every time I take it out of my purse... and possibly cheer me up through an expensive purchase.

Sunglasses: Ray Ban - Last but not least, the unmistakable Ray Bans that have certainly crawled its way up to my heart. When I first saw these on Kirsten Dunce or whoever, I thought to myself "how incredibly ugly, it looks like a geezer's (old man) sunglasses". Well, I tried them on not too long ago, and I fell in love with the way they looked on me. Anyway, this post isn't about me. I saw these style glasses all over Nylon's latest issue, meaning it's a legit urban pick.

On to an outfit so daring.... Cory Kennedy would be pround.

Blouse: Anthropologie - I love this top, it goes so well with this look because it adds a sense of sophistication and femininity to this outfit. Not only that, it goes perfect with just about anything else: skinny jeans, white shorts, trousers, you get my drift. Flowy blouse and neutral colors, take note.

Suspenders: Urban Outfitters - Adding just this simple strap takes your outfit on a completely different level and style. I absolutely love it and after making this post, I am for surely investing in a pair. Besides, it's totally Mischa Barton.

Shorts: Paige - The wash of these denim shorts are perfect. I love the color and I love the rise -- it's not too high nor is it too low. They're totally versatile because you can wear them in any season. During F/W you can wear them with leggings and by itself during S/S, and because they're dark wash, you'll always look chic in them.

Fedora: Target - Fedoras have been loitering the fashion scene for quite a while. Apparently, it's the perfect 'disguise', seeing that all the celebrities use it to hide their face. Anyway, if you have the hair and the face to pull of the fedora, I'd go for it. I think it's perfect as a fall accessory.

Leggings: Urban Outfitters - I know what you're thinking. Wow cute outfit, but purple leggings?! Keep in mind that these urban socialites will flirt with tacky while tasteful stares in envy. Nevertheless, they always manage to pull of the look. But if you're not into the purple leggings, don't fret, UrbanOut has a huge array of colored leggings to pick from. Just make sure they're not the footless one.. those are starting to get a little overrated in my opinion. By the way, deep purple is the it color this fall.

Shoes: Asos - See, now that you have the footed leggings, they look so cute in flats. Maybe not peep-toed flats like that ones I picked out, but you have to admit those are some pretty darn cute flats. They're like affordable Dolce Vita's if you ask me.

I reckon that was a wordy post, but I had a lot to say! That said, it's 2AM and I'm not going to even bother revising. I also realize that it's a little difficult putting that outfit together in your head and it looking cute, so I went ahead and pieced the outfit together. When I envisioned this outfit, I imagined the blouse to be tucked into the shorts.

Two girls down, and two more to go! Don't forget to add me on Myspace; I am such a loser.

The Life of A Pep Committer

Before I jump into this post, let me give you background information. I had a lot of fun posting "The Accessories of a Beach-goer"; I feel like its a post we all can enjoy. With that said, I'm creating a small back to school special consisting of four different styles on back to school necessities. I'm putting a lot of work and research into this so I hope you guys love it as much as I have putting it together.

First off, we have the ever so perky student. The girl who just can't go anywhere without ensuring she's well put together. She's pretty much the epitome of Juicy Couture and JCrew. Her favorite color is, well you guessed it, pink!

Purse: Miu Miu - I absolutely love this Miu Miu bag. I love the fresh color (that's perfect for summer or fall) and the shape. What I love even more about this bag is its versatility. Apparently, I can't get enough of that word. With the removable leather straps, you can easily transform this into a weekend shopping bag then when school comes around, it becomes a messenger bag for your school supply. Who said versatility couldn't be chic?

Planner: Cutxpaste - When I think of the member of the pep committee, I think well organized.. much like Taylor Townsend from the OC. But not only does this adorable planner handy to keep your plans and thoughts in, it's also great arm candy and another good reason to dig in your purse for something to entertain you. Hopefully, I'm not the only one who does that.

Pens: Fredflare - It's not enough that you own cute stationary, you also need a freaking adorable pen to write with. Otherwise, it voids the purpose of carrying a cute planner to begin with, right? Yet another purse-scrummage worthy item. You'll find any reason to whip it out.

Lipgloss: Too Faced - No preppy purse is properly accessorized if it doesn't have lipgloss. What's great about this specific product is that has the perfect amount of shimmer. You know that glow you have from being out in the sun, or after sex? Yeah, this is it, but for your lips. Apply as much or sparingly as you like.

Cocktail Ring: Urban Outfitters - I love big, fat rings! They're the perfect way to glam up your hands if you're not in the mood to stack up on bangles. Not only that, but it just makes using a pen look ten times more fashionable!

Hair Clip: Marc by Marc Jacobs - Although I don't like this hairstyle on me, I think certain girls can pull this look off very well -- the clean, prep look. Sweep your hair to the side and clip it with a cute plastic barrette. Perfect accessory to instantly brighten your face just by keeping hair away! Good luck finding a M4MJ barrette, I've looked everywhere and I only came up with a picture. Maybe next season.

Camera: Sony - Last but not least, a digital camera. It's not enough anymore to carry around anything defaulted. Perky girls must step it up a notch and go for more cute and glamour. What better way to exaggerate your love for pink than to buy a pink camera? I'm sure the smiles are a wee bit bigger through a pink camera.

Now that we've looked through her purse, here's what I image she would wear on her first day to school.

Blazer: JCrew - The tailoring for this blazer is impeccable! Flattering in every way possible, comes in several different colors, and is perfect for every season. With versatility like that, I can understand why it may be a tad pricey. But trust me, as much as I stress how premium jeans are worth the splurge, so are well cut jackets. It's not worth it to buy a 40 dollar blazer and not have it hug you in ways you cannot imagine. So, if you're planning to buy a blazer, think about its cost per wear.

Blouse: Forever 21 - Here's the fun part, because the fit of the jacket is so perfect, you can't go wrong with choosing an undershirt. You can even get away with a flowy top! I picked out this gorgeous tank with the perfect amount of embellishments. I actually lied, you can't wear anything but a sleeveless. Because the jacket hugs your body so well, you don't want your sleeve to create unneeded bulk around your arms.

Jeans: Seven for All Mankind - I imagine a well put girl to wear nothing but bootlegged jeans. Nothing too dark and nothing too light. These Sevens (and although I find them overrated) fit the description perfectly. Though, I forgot to check the Abercrombie website, I'm sure there are good alternatives to a pair such as these.

Shoes: Unlisted - Bootlegged jeans look great with pretty much any pair of shoes. But for this girl, she would wear a nice pair of heels. The heel gives length to her legs and a boost in the bum. Because the heel is a bit thicker and not that high, makes it school appropriate. All in all, completes the outfit.

Earrings: Juicy Couture - No preppy girl would ever be seen without her Juicy Couture! She's practically the face for the brand! Because a necklace is too much, there's already have a cocktail ring waiting in her purse, and the blazer overpowers bracelets, it's all up to a studly pair of earrings to save the day. Pun not intended. Love these earrings because it is the perfect amount of bling to spice up the outfit, but not enough to distract the eye.

With one girl down, there's three more to go! Excited to find out who these girls are? Just stick around and you'll see. As for this pep committer, I give her an A- in style.

P.S. This post is not meant to stereotype at all.

The Accessories of a Beach Go-er

Because the weather is still quite warm, that basically means that the beach is still a mandatory visit. However, with school coming up the beach isn't so much of a choice in destination as we settle down to get back into our studying habits. But... is it be possible to bring our three loved possessions together under one umbrella of love? I think so. Beach + school + fashion. It's totally possible.

Purse: Hermés - So maybe this purse isn't 100% beach appropriate, but you have to admit, it is one amazingly gorgeous purse with the perfect shade to match.

Swimsuit: Diane von Furstenberg - I absolutely love the colors in this piece. So fresh yet so chic. Yet, hardly a threat to fashion's unmerciful pace of change. Meaning, you pretty much won't have to worry about it going out of style.

Blush: NARS - You can buy this exclusively at Nordstroms. What I love most about this blush duo is that it also comes with a highlighter. Blush to leave you with a flush so natural that boys will wonder if they just have that effect on girls. Then a highlighter to add dimension to the cheeks that will leave girls wondering if you are just born with a naturally gorgeous structure. Plus, having the beaming sun activate the shimmer is a for sure head turner. You'll be the hottest girl on the beach!

Laptop: Sony's VAIO - I've been eyeing this notebook for a while. I love its chicness but more than that, I love how it's actually useful to an avid student. You know, over the Macbooks. Anyway, I still want to buy this for school, if anyone has it, share your opinions!

Bangles: The Fusion Boutique - I love how these bangles totally compliment the bathing suit without overdoing yourself (like Hilary Duff) and match your notebook as well! Now.. that's chic. But seriously, I do love the marble finish, it almost makes the bangles look like jade.

Water bottle: VOSS - You know, as much as I hate to say this, but you can be judged for the beverage you carry around. It's almost considered notorious as we establish a small cult of name brand water bottles. Remember the Fiji craze? Well, it's time to step it up a notch considering how overplayed they are. It's time to carry around VOSS. Plus, you don't want to dehydrate yourself on the beach, am I right?

The Accessories of Post-Cupid

Happy Belated Valentines Day! I hope you all had a fabulous holiday. Personally, I think it's overrated; but don't mind it, it could the bitterness talking. My philosophy is: why wait for a certain labeled day in a year to stress out about dinner reservations and picking out the perfect gift when it could be done any day of the year?! It's certainly a lot more romantic that way anyway.

I started to miss the reoccurring "Accessories of a _______" posts, so I really want to bring those back into the blog, starting with this late Valentine's Day one. If you want to check out my older ones, they should be under the August 2007 archive.

Clutch: Bottega Veneta - I've never been a huge fan of patent, especially when it screams ultra glossy. But this clutch justifies my view of patents with overtone of snakeskin texture -- a gorgeous clutch, really. It's the perfect size for both night and day and fits all the basic necessities.

Kit: Ho on the Go - How clever and comical is this idea? In this kit comes a thong, condoms, toothbrush/paste, and towelettes. It's totally promiscuous, but we live in a world where one night stands are glamorized. And to add insult to injury, I think hoes know how to pack their own night, but just in case (!), this kit comes in handy.

Lip Balm: Rosebud Salve - Keeping your lips soft throughout a date is a must; no guy want to kiss chapped lips. Leave it to Rosebud Salve to save the night for you. I live by this stuff, a little goes a long way and one tin can keeps you going for a while. The best part about it is, you can use it in places other than your lips. I like to rub some into my cuticles and elbows when I feel they're getting dry, and technically, you can rub in anywhere you'd like. I just don't like feeling greasy in any way.

Mirror: Urban Outfitters - One needs a small compact mirror throughout the night to make sure makeup is in place and food is steering clear of getting stuck between the teeth. So, why not carry around a cute mirror -- one so cute, it'll have him going, 'aww'. Brownie points.

Necklace: Forever 21 - A cute necklace for a cute girl. If it were up to me, I would probably wrap this around my wrist as a bracelet rather than a necklace. Or, I would hang it in my rear view mirror, because the charm is absolutely adorable.

Perfume: Dior Addict - Normally, when I buy perfume, I ask if I can have one sample bottle to keep in my car or purse for an emergency spritz, such as a hot date. I tried this on the other day and I love how long it lingers. It has a good mixture of sandalwood, vanilla and orange blossoms and is just everything you would expect from that benchmark house of fashion.

ID Case: Urban Outfitters - Since you are carrying a clutch, there's not much room for a wallet. Really, all you need is your ID, credit card, and some cash here or there. What better way to store your needs than in a stylish, slim, tin case? But since you're on a date, you don't really need to worry about the bill much, but it's always nice to offer splitting the bill.

Cellphone: Blackjack 2 - I think just about anyone who plays around with this phone long enough will come to terms that it's an awesome phone. I've had the original Blackjack for more than a year and it's still extremely reliable, sturdy, and does its duties past its expectations. After reading reviews of the BJ2, it has even more features! The only thing about it is, it's AT&T and I'm more a Verizon fan. I wouldn't get it in red; I prefer black, but it fits in with the Valentine's Day theme well.

Wreath: Target - Purposely, this is put up for aesthetic viewing pleasure, both for the collage and your home. Nothing screams Valentine's more than heart shaped decoration.

Dress: Twelve by Twelve - If you haven't checked out Forever 21's new line, Twelve by Twelve, I highly recommend it! They have extremely chic dresses at an affordable price. I haven't checked out the quality in person, just what I have seen on the website and for the most part it seems to be a mix of Topshop and Forever 21. As for the actual date and dress, it's good to go with a basic dress that doesn't show off too much but is still sexy. Check out WhoWhatWear's take on what to wear on a hot date.

Lingerie: Elle Macpherson - I get weak at the knees when I see pretty lingerie; it has this power of making a girl feel on top of the world. Elle Macpherson has had many years of modeling and using her knowledge of the industry, the Australian model decided to launch her own lingerie line which is now the bestselling lingerie in Australia. After I watched the intro to The Devil Wears Prada, I was inspired to (slowly but surely) revamp my intimates drawer -- slowly purging the Victoria's Secret Pink wear.

Ring: Anthropologie - I've always been a fan of statement rings and I prefer gold to silver. The pink accent to this ring is just fabulous, and it brings out the fun elements of a little black dress. Not to mention, when you grab your drink, the ring will grab attention. Then as you take a sip, the attention goes from your ring to your mouth. How seductive.

Boots: Christian Louboutin - I don't know what I love more about this shoe: the color or the silhouette. I also dig the fact that the patent works for this. Knowing me, I like wearing plain outfits with a pop of color. This deep fuchsia avoids the cliché red and pink for V-day but still keeps the romantic vibe; too bad it doesn't match the lingerie.

Nailpolish: OPI (Text Me, Text You) - This color is part of OPI's E-romance collection. The color is a sheer, glittery lacquer. With a clean coat, your fingers will compliment that sparkle in your eye, yet, still keeps your hands subtle and natural. After all, you have that big, fat, cocktail ring with the spotlight; why steal it?

I feel horrible not getting this up sooner. Three days after Valentine's Day, a fabulous record! On the plus side, think of all the sales going on as stores get rid of Valentine's Day products. And really, I love V-day decorations, because within moderation, they still can be used year round.

If you want, you can request certain ideas that can follow up with collection of "The Accessories of a _______" posts. I'd love to hear what you guys can conjure up.
