Ces photos qui nous ont vues grandir

Une récente discussion avec une amie m'a amenée le soir-même à me replonger dans le passé. Ces images habillaient les murs de ma chambre de petite et jeune fille et les collectionner précieusement représentait une de mes activités préférées, à laquelle même ma Marraine participait... Rien n'a changé finalement, si ce n'est qu'à défaut de les découper, je préfère simplement les regarder et esquisser un sourire devant le souvenir de tant de magazines feuilletés.

A latest discussion with a friend reminded me of all that fashion and beauty pics wich were hanging on ma bedroom walls when I was younger. I loved collecting them so it was really funny to find them again.

How was your day today?
So, kinda funny story today...
I got the random idea of auditioning for the 4th Twilight movie,
cause i heard they were going on, and i thought it would be a fun experience.
Plus, i've been kicking around the idea of doing a little acting...
Anyways, i found the site to sign up for the audition, filled out all the info, even uploaded a "headshot" (which was hilarious! haha)
and when i finished, it said that auditions ended about 2 weeks ago!! haha
i was like, what! come on! haha! oh well...

So, I picked the painting today in honor of that story,
cause when i was researching the audition, i stumbled on to the "New Moon" Premiere...
and was pleasantly surprised that Dakota Fanning was wearing the incredible black lace Valentino Dress
that i had painted for Sundance Chanel's "Full Frontal Fashion" as part of the Paris Fashion week coverage.
The dress was by far my pick for favorite/Best Dress of this season.
It's just beautiful and eloquent!
I really liked how the painting turned out :)
The render of the dress at that angle was actually pretty hard for me to draw!
It took way longer than i planned.

P.S. I posted pictures of my sister's display at the "L.A. CanStruction" in my image Diary. My sister's is the first picture up there. The L.A. CanStruction is a design/build competition of teams of architects, competing to design and build giant structures made entirely from full cans of food, and then all the cans are donated to the local food banks.

Elle Fanning Time-lapse Painting

How was your weekend?
I saw a brilliant movie called the "The King's Speech".
If you haven't seen it, go see it.
It's such a moving movie. Loved it!

So I'm happy to present you with a new Speed Painting Video.
As your remember, a month ago i started watching Hayao Miyazaki and i saw his movie "My Neighbor Totoro".
The main girls in the English version of the movie were played by, at the time very young little sisters Elle & Dakota Fanning.
I was blown way how amazing they were in that movie.
And then recently, i stumbled across a beautiful editorial of Elle Fanning (not sure what magazine it was from).
She has a really great look.
She has a little bit of Gemma/Sophie Ward look going on, plus she was wearing a dress from Valentino's spring 2011 collection,
and I thought she would be perfect in my pop culture series,
so the other day i did this painting and made this video for yawl.
I had to do some finishing touches on the painting,
but will post it tomorrow! I hope you like the video!
