A Harvest Picnic by Dear Creatures

A Harvest Picnic by Dear CreaturesA Harvest Picnic by Dear CreaturesA Harvest Picnic by Dear Creatures
I'm so very excited to show you my new Dear Creatures Blossom dress! Isn't it so pretty with the scallop details down the placket and the faint gray striped fabric. I've had my eye on it ever since this fall inspiration post.

Aside from showcasing my new dress, I also need your help. The Delightful Dozen is putting together a fun project which we're all submitting photos for and I need to pick one of the horizontal photos from this post, but I can't decide which one. So if you would be ever so kind as to tell me which horizontal photo (the first, fourth or fifth) is your favorite, I would be so very grateful! I'm leaning towards the first since it shows the dress the best, Cole likes the fifth, but I would really love to know what you think.A Harvest Picnic by Dear CreaturesA Harvest Picnic by Dear CreaturesA Harvest Picnic by Dear CreaturesA Harvest Picnic by Dear Creatures

Laced with Poison

Some of you might remember a similar version of this look from a few months back. There is something about this lace romper that compels me to wear it with dot tights and my black felt hat. This time however I amped it up a bit with my JC platforms and wine matte lipstick. This outfit makes me feel very Stevie Nicks.

someday back when we were young

Hey, what'd ya know! I'm actually back with another outfit post less than a week later! Woohoo. It's cool when I can stick to my goals. I feel all accomplished, organized and what not. Cole has been amazing finding what little spare time he has to help me out. He's the best darling a girl could ask for.

This is another outfit I've had on the back burner, just waiting for cooler weather to wear. It's my 20s-living-in-the-70s inspired look. Of course I had to throw a beret into the mix. When the weather gets the least bit cool, you know I can't contain my love of berets any longer and this mocha beauty is my new favorite.

Calico Days

Calico DaysCalico DaysCalico Days
The days have been changing so much since Cole has been back in school. He's so crazy busy and gone pretty late a few nights a week, that it's taking me some time to adjust. I'm a bit resistant of change. Truthfully, I really don't like it. But all things must change and I need to get on board. Anyone else out there avoid change like the plague?

Now onto the dress...while this might not be my normal attire, I absolutely loved wearing Starr's dress. It's so hippie-love-child that I couldn't resist pairing it with my floral wreath. I also felt that my white tights and navy platforms where just the thing to finish the look. Calico DaysCalico DaysCalico DaysCalico Days

I'm afraid of everyone

I'm afraid of everyone
Do I dare say I'm back? I know I've said it before then disappeared again, but I'm truly hoping that this time around I'm right. If I can at least post an outfit once a week, I'll be a very happy girl. The cooler, most-glorious weather we've been having in the Twin Cities should definitely help accomplish my goal. There's no season I cherish more than autumn! It just suits my personality and style so well and to wear tights again is a great pleasure.

I've been dying to style this blouse ever since the lovely people at Ruche were kind enough to send it my way! I'm not sure what I love most, the beautiful crochet collar and front panel or the fact that the name includes my favorite dreamland, Avonlea. I considered it an act of providence (to quote Anne) that I accidentally received this Delightful Dozen skirt around the same time. Even though I had already left the group by the time it arrived, it was a nice surprise to receive one last item, especially one I had been waiting to style for some time.

It's been awhile since Cole and I went on a picnic. Our usual lake spot was overrun by a child's birthday party, but we found a new secluded spot where we drove our Jeep to the edge of a field and found a lovely old tree to rest beneath. Jimmy Johns was on the menu and was quite delicious!
